Located just off Streatham High Road opposite the South London Press building this is a wonderful mural inspired by Maurice Sendak‘s much loved children classic Where the Wild Things Are.

The piece depicts a scene from the book with the hero Max and one of the monsters. As well as being a children’s author and illustrator, Sendak was himself a Muralist whose work can be seen at the Rosenbach Museum and Gallery in Philadelphia, and we think he would thoroughly approve of this tribute to his work!

We are currently researching this piece. If you can provide us with any further information please get in touch
