Statement: “The first commitment was to illustrate the city that each artist was representing, four cities of Västra Götaland were involved, Skövde, Mariestad, Götene and Lidköping. The last one, was the city I was representing. The task took part in a corner near by the library in Mariestd; and our first approach to the walls of Sweden. At that time, we were traveling a lot around the region, and in the four cities. Lidköping had a very interesting spot between the sea and the lakes, there fore, the legend of a Siren that looks around the town and Rådhuset were my inspiration. But, when I was in the bus, or in the train even in the plane I couldn’t stop seeing the huge amazing yellow fields; the raps flower. I realized that the “mon ami” pattern – one of the most common in Lidköping’s ceramic- was inspired by this little four petaled flower. And I took it for my first painting.” (I.Q. July 2012)
