Sadly, the recent earthquake damaged the building the mural is on and mortar patching the cracks has ruined the mural — hopefully restoration is in the works?

This mural has been remixed; Felipe is still there, now flanked by mosaic religious figures. At first I was afraid something had happened to Felipe but apparently this is just a new direction the artist wanted to take.

Melbourne street artist Stabs is my favorite. I went looking for him, and found an awesome paste of his on Budd st, then turned around and was like, wow!, check out that massive lady paste holding a gun. Think this is the biggest hand drawn paste up I’ve ever seen!

This is awesome, I leave near here and went to check it out this morning. MASSIVE! I reckon it’s the biggest hand drawn wheat paste I’ve seen in Melbs – it’s good these guys don’t photo shop and just do one off’s. It’s pretty much next to the PBS radio station.

Thanks for the info on the Rivera MOMA exhibit, i will try to get there before it closes next week but I am really interested in locating photos of 13 Rivera murals that were known as Portrait of America and were destoyed in a devastaing fire in 1969 at the ILGWU’s Unity House resort in PA. There were originally 21 painted for the defunct New Wokers School in NYC in 1933 of which 8 were not displayed at Unity House and so survived the fire. If anyone has any info on the 13 destroyed murals, please post!

im the owner of a nonprofit that caters to women and children in africa, the name of it is called educating children and controling poverty. we are still very young and my question is , are there things that i need to know to better help those people in africa?
e.c.c.p helps with housing, education, food ect.
